| The original recordings of two of the tracks you hear on the "Cement" single set, and "Swim" resurfaced. "Pictures Of Pain" is heard here with different lyrics, and also sounding slighly different in it's production and mix. Nethertheless, it does sound rather grindy in the guitars, which is a good thing and the recording quality isn't bad for a low-cost to make record. Grant said in a 1999 internet interview that he didn't like the recording quality of it. It once sold and leaked enough at indie stores to chart at #178 in September 1995, it was limited to 1.000 CD's and 1.700 vinyls. "Chicken On A Bone" this time has the same lyrics as the newest version, and sounds a little more slower. All in all, a neat package and sounds very old-skool Feeder. As Feeder have got more well known, this record has been in higher demand. If you find it expect to pay between 40-60 quid for it!. |

| This hip-hop duo suprisingly supported Feeder on the first leg of their 2001 Echo Park tour in 2001, but mind you Grant also likes Beastie Boys, so a rap act being a Feeder support isn't 100% suprising! :-). It was released in mid 2001. This remix is rather impressive. The original version is your typical beat-box rap type track, but Grant's remix takes it to another genre and makes it sounds like a rap-metal track if you know what I mean. Not nu-metal as such, but more traditional Brit-rock with rap vocals. It even has Jon Lee filling in on drums!. I bought it earlier this year, since it has a Feeder connection, and it's rather good!. |
