Forming The Band
In 1992, Newport-born Grant Nicholas formed a band, 'Temper Temper', with fellow South Walian, Jon Lee.  Grant later moved to London to work as a sound engineer, and Jon followed shortly after.

They put an ad in a magazine looking for a bass player, and in 1995 they met Taka Hirose, of Tokyo. The three of them became 'Reel', but soon changed the name to 'Feeder'.  Under the name of Feeder, they released several albums and singles and had a few hits in the charts.

In 2000, Jon married Brazilian model, Tatiana Englehard in Miami, Florida. And sadly on 7th January 2002, Jon took his life at his Miami home.

This was to be the end of Feeder as we had known, and grown to love them. Taka went back to Japan to be with his parents, and Grant started to write songs and spent a lot of time in a recording studio. Grant and Taka decided to continue without Jon, and in October 2002 they released Comfort In Sound, an album reflecting on the feelings they felt since Jon's death.

"We've come too far, we've got too many fans out there, and there's too many people that have really stuck by us over the years, it just seems tragic to give up now.  We're a good band, but we've got a lot more left in us before we call it a day." - Grant Nicholas
I'm not actually sure what happened, I'd heard that Jon committed suicide, because his wife refused to move to Wales. If anyone  knows if that's true, or has heard any other stories, then please let me know!
