(hantu) information

This page is a general questions and answers page. It may get added to as time goes on.

So what does 'hantu' actually mean?
Hantu is an Indonesian word denoting any type of invisible, frightening being; a spirit, ghost, or demon.

So why the brackets?
Why not?
Maybe it's symbolic of encapsulating a spirit/ghost etc
Maybe it's poetic liecence
Let me know.

Who's in (hantu)?
(hantu) is produced purely by Eyen. More info will follow.

How long have hantu been around?
(hantu) offically started on 1/7/04 AD. This was the result of apathy towards other music I've been creating and a moment of madness in the studio.

Do (hantu) play live?
No, not as of yet; and it'd be inappropriate for me to say if that will ever happen at such an early stage.

Do you have any downloads?
Please remember (hantu) is still in the stages of infancy, and music will become avaliable as soon as possible. I do have to fit this round my work. I can, however confirm the track (hantu) is finished.

So what does the track (hantu) sound like? What about the rest of the project? What influences (hantu)?
(hantu) is an extremely simple piece, only 1:30 minutes long. All I used was a guitar, bass and one effect on Cubase. I'll leave you to find out what it sounds like.
The best way to describe it would be "instrumental soundscapes". There are no "rock guitars", no anthmatic songs and suchlike. That isn't the aim of (hantu).
Influences: Noise, soundscapes, tribal, nature, electronica, instrumental, life, death, art, chaos, order, ritual, religion

What music are you interested in?
Noise, industrial, rock, goth, classical, electronica, instrumental, ebm, darkwave... pretty much anything. Music I'm listening a lot to at the moment: Stuff by Crossbreed and Plaid.

Are you going to be releasing a CD anytime soon?
That is my eventual aim. I cannot, however say when this is due to work commitments and other life factors.

Is this the final site layout?
No, this is just a basic site until I can be bothered to design graphics and other time-consuming things.
