Manoeuvres and Formations

Flying a support craft is a dangerous job. Hopefully some of these manoeuvres and formations will help to keep you alive in the air.

Escaping Manoeuvres Description
Hard Brake Cut your engines and hit your brakes. If you reduce velocity faster than your pursuer then he will overshoot and enter your cone of fire.
Kick turn Do a hard 90 degree turn away from your original course. Hold your new course for a moment, hopefully your pursuer will overshoot along your original course. If he does return to you original course, you will now be on his tail.
Loop'n'shoot Turn a complete loop the loop. When you have reached the pinnacle of your height your pursuer should be overshooting below you for this to work. Once you have fallen back into your original course you should be on his tail.
Barrel Roll Turn your ship through 360 degrees in a roll. This will throw your enemy's targeting sensors off for a vital second.

Pursuing Manoeuvres Description
Roll Close on your Target while performing a Barrel Roll. This will negate your targets ability to predict where your attack will come from.
Shake Perform small 45 degree turns as you close on your target. This will negate your targets ability to predict where your attack will come from.. Performing a mixture of Shake and Roll manoeuvres is called a Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll.
Sit 'n' kick Make a random 90 degree turn. Cut your engines and spin to face your target. Open fire then make another random 90 degree turn and re-engage engines. This is especially useful in hit and run attacks on larger ships.
Sit 'n' Spin Cut your engines and perform a 360 degree turn. While turning open up on any targets that come into your cone of fire. Re-engage engines
