Give thanks for last week�s VBS: the children and parents who participated; all the volunteers who helped made it possible; the wonderful weather and the safety during VBS. Pray also that the seeds sown into these young lives will sprout and bear fruit in time. Pray for this Sunday�s VBS presentation: pray that everyone will be encouraged by what the Lord has done, and for more people to step out and volunteer for next year�s VBS.
Pray for the High School Sunday School Department as they try to finalize a new curriculum for this September. Pray for God�s guidance and wisdom so that the changes implemented will make our Sunday School not only more relevant but also more effective. Pray also that God will call the right people to teach our high school students.
Pray for all the people who will be attending this year�s Summer Conference next weekend. Pray that their hearts will be ready to receive God�s Word to them. Pray also for the Planning Committee as they finalize all the details for this Conference. Finally, pray for Mr. Gary Roosma, our speaker � that God will speak powerfully through him to everyone there.
Pray for the Consistory as it meets this Sunday. Pray for God�s guidance as we find a suitable process to nominate and elect the elders and deacons for next year.
Pray for our search for a Youth Pastor: that God will guide Willie Si as he heads this Search Committee; pray that God will provide a suitable pastor for us soon.
Continue to pray for our Worship Services each Sunday: pray for God�s strong Presence each time we gather together to worship; pray for those responsible for
leading the people before God: The leader, praise team, choir, speaker, ushers, musicians � Pray too that as people meet the Lord and hear from Him, they will
respond with faith and commitment.
Pray that God will help us to be more �friendly� not only to newcomers and guests, but also to the people that have been coming regularly to FEC. Pray that we will have a genuine concern and interest for the people worshipping with us each Sunday. Let�s ask the Holy Spirit to build a strong and loving community at FEC.
