Introduction:

First, a bit of background story of the game. The story tells of the Creator, who created seven world shells which orbit around a giant axis called the core. Two core keys have also been created, which would unlock the secrets of the core which is said to be the Kingdom of Heaven. Unfortunately, Gemma, a fallen angel, stole the keys, and the Creator sent his son, Marduk, to retrieve them. After battling with Gemma for 100 days, Marduk finally defeated him and retrieved the keys. Marduk then hid the keys and prophesized that the keys would be found again when the world is in need of them.

The game starts off with two scenes, the first introducing the main villain of the game and the latter the main character of the game. At this point in the game, the keys have already been found and Doskias hinted at his desire to unlock the core and gain the power of the Creator. He found a way to unlock the core and in doing so, started a war and brought the world shells to the brink of destruction. You control the main character, Maya, throughout the game, together with two other companions who the player may switch around as the game proceeds. Maya starts off in World Shell 2, and through conversations with Non-Playable Characters (NPCs), learn more about the world shells and other information that the player should know in order to proceed with the game. As the game progresses, Maya gets to know of Doskias and together with other characters who have banded together to join her cause, decides to try and stop him and save the world from destruction.

Game Specifications:

The game specifications are simple, requiring only a DirectX 5.0 Pentium 200, 4X CD-ROM, 32 MB RAM and DirectX-compatible sound card. Both mouse and keyboard are used in the game. The mouse is used to initiate conversations with NPCs, pick up items and navigating the characters and to select characters and enemies during battles. The keyboard can be used for navigation using the arrow keys and shortcut keys are available to select the characters or their abilities during battles. Since battle scenes are not bloody, though there are images of severed body parts and such in some locations, the violence level is not high. However, swear words are used  in the game and there is also mild sexual references in the game especially in certain locations and places such as brothels. Hence, the rating on the game is 13+. The game is most likely targeted at gamers in their teens, with its anime-like characters and graphics.

Once you insert the CD, a screen should automatically pop up to install the game into the hard drive. The CD also gives you a few options to install the game depending on how much disk space you have. Full install would take about 550MB and allows you to play the game without needing the CD. Once the game is installed, it could be played immediately without restarting the PC.

At the game screen, there are four choices available to choose. New game, letting you start from the beginning of the game, continue game, which allows you to resume your game from the point where you last saved before quitting and game options, which lets you choose which save game to load or to start a new game, which is also the game screen you would see if you select it while you are playing the game. The last is the option to quit the game. There is only an option to change the audio settings in terms of volume. There is no option to change the graphics, brightness or contrast, etc because the graphics are generated using the game engine.
