Tarot

I have recently been doing a bit of tarot of late. I only read the cards to myself whenever I'm confused or need guidance on any matters or have questions.

Tarot cards are a form of divination consisting of 78 cards. They are divided into the Major Arcana (22 cards) and the Minor Arcana (56 cards).  The major Arcana consist of 22 individual cards, which are numbered from 0 to XXI, and the minor Arcana consist of 4 suits. These are wands, pentacles, swords and cups. Each card has it's own individual meaning.

There are heaps of varieties of Tarot decks. Some include the Rider-Waite, The Goddess, The Elemental, The Witches, The Mythic, The Faery, The Dragon Tarot to name just a few.  I am currently using the Rider-Waite deck. I read that they are great for beginners and they seem to be working well for me.

Tarot decks can be purchased at many bookstores, New age stores and over the Internet.
