Germinated/Soaked Seed

Germinated seed is a good way to get extra nutrition into your birds as they are bursting with enzymes and protein.

Soaked seed can be prepared by

soaking seeds (luvbird mix, parrot mix etc) in a jar of water for 10-12 hours (ratio of 1 part seed mix to 2 parts water)

rinse extremely well

drain well and serve.

Soaked seeds my be put it in the fridge to keep for a couple of days. Soaked seed should be removed in 4 hours from the the cage.
