Modern Game Bantams originated in England and are a counterpart of the large Modern Games in type and color.  They were first recognized in the Standard of Perfection in 1874.

Modern Games show very erect carriage, extreme length of shank and lower thigh, round bone, long, slim head and neck, short, trim body, small whip tail, and are the smallest in the standard weights.  They are very tightly feathered.
All game bantam cocks must be dubbed in order to be shown.

Standard weights are:  Cock 22 oz., Cockerel 20 oz., Hen 20 oz., Pullet 18 oz.

The colors we own and show are Brown Red, Birchen and Silver Blue.  All of our bantams are from exhibition lines--we own no hatchery stock.

Modern Game bantams are very curious, calm birds.  Males can sometimes be aggressive toward people, but this is unusual.  They are often used as youth showmanship birds, because they so calm and easy to work with.  The young birds are curious and friendly, and very easy to train with small treats.  They remind me of little dinosaurs, with their prehistoric look.
