| Books I read as a child have been a major factor in how I think and feel. They gave me guidance and taught me understanding.I would highly recommend that children read most of the older fairytales. What the heck, I would highly recommend that most adults read them. "100 Dresses" taught me compassion, "The Emperor's New Clothes" taught me how readily people will follow others so as not to be thought of as stupid even though they see things otherwise. Other children tales that influenced me were "Stone Soup", "The Spider and The Fly" and "Aesop's Fables". On the right I have made some pages with some of these writings. Click on a book and take a few minutes to read or reread them. I'm sure you will enjoy these old favorites. |

| Fairy Tales, the Wonderful World of Imagination. Most people will say they don't believe in Fairy Tales, yet they live one daily. Although, most haven't figured that out yet. Maybe they don't want to believe because then they would know which character they are. I believe in Fairytales! I believe there are princesses and knight's in shining armor. I believe there are wicked witches with their poisoned apples, evil stepsisters and all the other characters we read about in the books. I believe, because I have met these characters. They are as real as anyone you know. Observe the people around you. What character are they? What character are you? What would others think your character would be? We build our own fairytales in the paths we chose to follow. We find our prince charmings, our fair maidens, we build our castles and then ........? What tales have you weaved? What tales are you weaving now? |
