Part the seventh

Talashar was jarred from her reminiscing by Caramon's voice it seems he was trying to be quiet, "So, Raist, what's wrong, you look sick?"
"Nothing that you can solve is wrong with me brother!" Raistlin hissed, but Talashar's dragonic senses were able to discern even the slightest intonation of fear in his voice.
"I'm just sayin' you don't look so good, you were looking so healthy a few days ago--"
"Things have changed since then, brother." Raistlin hissed, cutting off Caramon.
"It's her isn't it?" Caramon whispered, this time quiet enough that Talashar wouldn't be able to hear, were she human.
"What do you mean, brother? 'Is it her?'" Raistlin mocked his brother's concerned tones.
Caramon seemed to pause for a moment, then he burst out laughing. "You're in love with her, that's it!"
Raistlin made no response, Caramon's rolling laughter echoed up the stairs and reverberated through Talashar's bones. She could hear Raistlin making some sort of response, but she could not discern it. A throbbing deep in her chest seemed to subside, a throbbing she didn't even know was there, but now that it was gone she felt better.
Opening the door, she walked into the room where the twins sat, and her entracnce silenced Caramon. Raistlin shot her a dark, scathing look a look that was far too dark for anyone. Even if he hated her he would be unable to give her such a look, it was compensation.
"Good morning-- Did I interupt something?" She asked innocently, hiding a smirk on her thin lips.
"What ever you heard, was a lie!"Raistlin hissed before standing up so abruptly that his chair hit the floor with a loud crack; he didn't hear this, however, because he was already outside. Talashar stood for another stunned moment, and then lifted his chair and sat down. Caramon gave her a weak smile and she put her head on her arms and started to cry.
