To Conquer Death, You Must Eliminate Life..... Not bad for a first attempt, i must admit! Anyway, you've reached the part of my site that is actually pointful in some ways. Blimey! "Eternity: Lost" is a film creation that was initially started off to relieve the tedium of weekends university; Most people buggered off home, and i was stuck in the Halls of Residence with nothing to do. It had got to around the 11th scene (not many at that point) when i finished my first year at uni in May this year. After that, it took a back seat to working off some of my student Loan payments. Bastards. Unfortunatley, my job working at Daimler-Chrysler didn't last too long and i was soon left with a lot of time to dispose of. I once again returned to my computer and started writing away, without really thinking about what the future could hold for my script.

The breakthrough came about a month ago when i began talking to my friend Oli Lewington about my idea. He owns his own production company (GMV Entertainment Ltd.) and has experience with screenwriting and making films, so i asked him to have a read of the first initial scenes and tell me what he thought of it. A day or two later, he contacted me to say that he was enjoying it and that i should continue writing. Spured on by the encouragement (and a lack of anything else worthwhile to do during the day), i continued writing the film, completing a first draft on July 30th at round-about 11pm. The final word count was 34,157 and 139 pages long. Damn.....!

Now that the first draft had been completed, oli and myself were in the position to start reading though it thoroughly so that we could spot any plot discrepencies or dialogue errors. We read the whole thing through, making notes on characters dialogue and scenes. Once that was done i set about tweaking the script and changing anything that didn't sound right. The second draft was finished last night (15 / 8 / 02) and handed over once again for Oli to read through. Initial signs though are promising and Oli is keen on purchasing the script to eventually make it with the backing of a larger studio (fingers crossed!)

Since then, i've started work on some set design work; i've drawn up some ideas for set's and props in the film. I've also started a floor plan for the sets. One other thing i've been doing is looking on the web at potential places we could film if and when the time comes. Ideally a large American city like New York would be ideal, but in light of September 11th, i feel that the with the film's content, it'd be innapropriate. Los Angeles, Chicago or another large, modern foriegn city (Sydney, or Hong Kong for example) would suffice however. Character wise, i've also had a fair idea who i'd like to star in the film. Whether they would agree though is an entirley different matter! Jennifer Garner would be ideal for the lead; She's intelligent and suitable for action roles through her appearences in the Tv series "Alias" and the forthcoming movie "Daredevil". |

The second person i'd like is Joaquin Phoenix; his role as Commodus in "Gladiator" shows he makes a superb bad guy, and thats the sort of person i want him to play here. The third and final actor i'd like is Avery Brooks from the TV series "Deep Space Nine" and "American History X". Again, i think his overall character would be suited to the part in the film. I'm not going to go into detail about the film's plot / storyline because i don't want it being made by someone else and not getting the credit for it; you'l just have to wait and see! And i'm really paranoid... In the meantime, i'll keep y'all up to date with the latest happenings. But rest assured; this film WILL become a reality becuase i think it has an originality not seen since "The Matrix"; i truly believe that. Only time will tell however, but i'm just happy with doing it in the first place, and thats all that matters!
