mucilage was a hybrid of the word 'Muck' in regards to the amount of time it lasted. for example, the average Mucilage around a typical thatched cottage is 25 years depending on the strength of fat people's gravitational pull and random cloud formations.
Mucilage is seldom used today, with the exception of Cambridge, where it has enjoyed success with students, much like Chesney Hawks.
Josef Starlin once comented that to control the mass starvation savaging Russia at the time, the best solution was to fill a 1x1x1x1km cube with the countries population and fill it with Mucilage and Pop Idol rejects.
