| Basically the internet is a "web" of computers that help transfer files to others . We use this network to help or aid us in the transfer of files . The internet works by conecting us all together in a "web" illustrated below . We use this web to get our email , play games , and connect with the world .The computers are connected to survers , witch are in turn connected to each other .The data is transfered over the phone line in packets , these packets are read by the server and unpacked . Then the protocol uncodes the data and then the files you requested are displayed and become useable. |

There is more to the internet than the hardware ; the software enables the hardware to utilize the giant newtwork we call the internet . |
