| FDW grew up in the mid-twentieth century on the French Riviera, in Nice. The hills of Provence, the sun and the Mediterranean sea still bring both a sigh and a smile of pleasure on FDW's face. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| The strength of the tapestries artwork arises from the composition lines and the color. In Atlanta and then in New York, personal life events were not recorded in a traditional diary but as a story board, a design to be woven. These "stories" were woven over a period of 40 years. The tapestries design was influenced by contemporaries such as Chagall, Matisse and Picasso. |
