1870 La Porte County Indiana Census
Showing Frederick P. Cummins & Household
This census shows John W. Walker with his wife Josephine and daugther Francis living
in the household of his father Frederick P. Cummins.
In addition it shows Frederick's daughter Mary E. also living in the household with her
husband Edwin J. Swan. We believe they were living in Bridgeport Conn. in 1907 when
John died. John's great Grandaughter, Shirley Jean Cummins, used to receive books from a
Fred Swan during the 1920's which were mailed from Conn.
John's daughter Francis, my great grandmother is listed as being born in Pennsylvania,
also her mother's birthplace. We do not know the accuracy of this fact.
