Joey isn't stupid, or dumb, he just doens't think before he acts. He has ADHD, and it makes him who he is.
A lot of the really stupid aspects in the comics about Joey are true. Each comic usually says whether or not it is true.

To describe Joey in 2 words, they would be 'Punch Line'. Without Joey, FD Comics would not be FD Comics. He is seriously 97% of the fun. Every one should bow down and worship Joe. Nah, don't let it go that far. But everyone should thank Joey for his incompetence.
