FC UNITED 2 - 1 GUISELEY
FC UNITED boss Karl Marginson insisted justice had been done after seeing his promotion-chasing Reds produce a stunning late comeback to beat fellow UniBond premier division high-fliers Guiseley.
Marginson's men snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with two goals in 60 seconds in the closing stages giving them their fifth win in six games.
Simeon Bambrook's deflected 17th minute free-kick appeared to have sunk United until Jerome Wright, whose touch had taken the ball past keeper Sam Ashton, lashed in a stunning 25-yard equaliser with less than four minutes left on the clock.
And, with the home fans still celebrating, Tommy Turner then headed home Adam Carden's teasing cross to send the vast majority of the 1,986-strong Gigg Lane crowd into raptures and earn FC a victory which lifts them into the play-off places.
A delighted Marginson said: "Guiseley scored an unbelievable late equaliser when we played at their place, so maybe this one was our pay-back.
"But I still expect Guiseley to be in the mix for the play-offs, so perhaps we'll get to meet them again."
It wasn't, however, all good news for Marginson, who gave a debut to Adam Tong, signed from Bamber Bridge, as United's 24-goal top scorer Kyle Wilson was forced off after just 21 minutes with a knee injury
