Aaron Burns is a powerful forward, who is highly effective with his back to goal holding up the ball. But he also possessing the pace to turn and beat a defender. The Manchester-born forward was spotted playing for his local team, Wythenshawe Amateurs. He began training at United at the age of ten and progressed through the ranks alongside his strike-partner, Huddersfield-born Fraizer Campbell. Injury at the start of the 2005/06 season interrupted his development slightly, but he returned later on in the season and ended the Academy campaign with six goals in 11 starts. Released by United in June 2007 Burns agreed to play for Afurelding, an Icelandic second division side, throughout the summer while we is weighing up his options, and ended up signing a contract for Cardiff City. On the arrival of Hasselbaink an Fowler for the Bluebirds Burns chances were few and far between, so Aaron has signed for FC until atleast January when he will be eligible to sign for club at the start of the transfer window. Aaron left FC United as was to be expected in January 2008 to sign on a full time contract for Northwich Victoria. He Leaves after scoring 8 in 14 appearances for the club.
