Sudwerk Settles for Draw

DAVIS, Calif., Sept. 3 (Reuters) -- FC Sudwerk came back to tie Penoral 2-2 on Wednesday in an exciting, evenly played  match.

The red-and-black had plenty of scoring opportunities in the second half but could not capitalize for the victory. Still, the team gave a strong performance.

"This is like kissing your sister, and your sister is Tyra Banks," said J.C. Mark, who captained the team in Andrew LaMar's absence Wednesday.

Sudwerk trailed 2-1 at halftime but equalized on a 35-yard strike by Jeff Bennett. Sudwerk received its first goal from Phil Pareas on a breakaway.

The club's next game is 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10.  ##
