| Ortiz, Simmons to Captain FCS Spring Soccer is Here DAVIS, Calif., April 7, 2008 -- FC Sudwerk will hold its first practice of the spring season at 10 a.m. Saturday (April 12) on the UC Davis campus. Meet at the field at La Rue and Hutchinson. Big thanks are in order for Culien Ortiz and Max Simmons, who have taken over running the club this spring. They get to do all the fun stuff -- like make sure players get to the games, the refs are paid and everyone has a jersey. It's a thankless task, so please do your part to make their jobs easy! The DARSL outdoor season will begin April 22 and run through June 27. FC Sudwerk will play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. The schedule is not out yet. Meanwhile, the club concludes the winter DARSL season on Sunday with the annual intra-squad grudge match, Red vs. Black. Losers buy the beer. You don't want to miss that one. In addition, FC Sudwerk's Off The Wall squad is halfway through another great season, posting a 3-1 record so far. The temperature is supposed to break 80 by week's end, so strap on a pair of running shoes and hit the road. Time to get in shape! ## |
