Red Rages, Black Draws

DAVIS, Calif., March 4, 2007 (Reuters) -- The Red Rage defeated Humboldt Grown 15-12 on Sunday while sister squad Black Bombers rallied from a five-goal deficit to earn a 12-12 draw with Hooligans.

Adam Bauer and Mike Campbell led FC Sudwerk's Reds with five goals apiece. Shana Summers tallied two and Craig Dandurand sparked the offense midway through the second half with a crucial goal.

From there on out, it was all Red Rage. Way to go guys (and gals)!

As for FC Sudwerk's Black shirts, the Bombers delivered an explosive second half, scoring eight goals after trailing 8-4 at the break and 10-5 a short while later. Mel Meyer, Imer, Alex Park and James Engle all contributed to the flurry.

Meyer scored the goal of the match late in the game when she made a quick spin move on the right sideline and slammed a shot into the left side of the net from a sharp angle.

Next Sunday features the super-classico intra-club rivalry game Red vs. Black at 1 p.m. In keeping with tradition, losing side buys drinks at Sudwerk! ##
