| Two FCS Wins Feature Big Black Comeback DAVIS, Calif., March 12 (Reuters) -- FC Sudwerk's two indoor squads both won Sunday, with Red holding off Short Grass 8-6 and Black rallying from a four-goal deficit to beat Pulsars 9-8. Red led 5-2 at the half, thanks to Keeper Andrew LaMar's first two goals of the season, and held onto the advantage through a mostly listless second half. Meanwhile, Black staged its biggest comeback of the year, after trailing 6-2 at the break. Goals by Mel Meyer and James Engel fueled the rally, as Black hunkered down on defense in the second half, allowing only two goals, while turning on the offensive firepower. The indoor season ends Sunday with Red playing at 1 p.m. and Black at 2 p.m. ## |
