Winter Woes Continue for Sudwerk

DAVIS, Calif., Feb. 25, 2007 (Reuters) -- FC Sudwerk's two indoor squads suffered losses Sunday, marking the third consecutive game that neither has earned a point.

Forced to play without star scorer Adam Bauer, the Red Rage fell to Davis Football Club 10-4.

Meanwhile, the Black Bombers staged a valiant comeback against Humboldt Grown, drawing level with two minutes remaining but gave up two late goals to go down 8-6.

"This is frustrating," said Black skipper Andrew LaMar. "We started strong today and played very well for most of this match, but we just couldn't find the back of the net. That's been our problem all season long."

Week No. 7 of the winter season has the Red Rage playing Humboldt Grown at noon next Sunday and the Black Bombers facing Hooligans at 2 p.m. ##
