| Bad Day for FC Sudwerk
DAVIS, Calif., Feb. 19 (Reuters) -- FC Sudwerk's indoor squads crashed on Sunday, with Red nipped by Good Ole Folks 8-7 and Black routed by Short Grass 17-7. The defeats drop FCS Red to 3-3 and FCS Black 4-1-1 on the winter season. In an even match, Red trailed 4-3 at the half and drew within one again with 45 seconds remaining. J.C. Mark appeared to tie the game moments later, with a shot that caromed off the right post, but the referee ruled no goal. While Red just missed, Black suffered its worst loss in three years. Aggressive Short Grass overpowered Black, tallying the first seven goals and building an 11-2 first-half lead. After the break, Black's play improved, but it couldn't climb out of a very deep hole. ## |
