Two Players Down,
Sudwerk Still Sizzles

DAVIS, Calif., Oct. 4 (AP) -- For the second week in a row, Sudwerk scored a victory despite playing with a short side.

The red-and-black improved its fall record to 3-2, after holding off a furious rally by Stone/Monkeys to win 8-6. Sudwerk led 5-2 at halftime, despite being one player down.

In the second half, Sudwerk saw its lead vanish as Stone/Monkeys utilized a two player advantage on the field.

But after the Stone/Monkeys tied the game at 6, Andreas Agocs and Aaron Stephens answered back with impressive goals to give the red-and-black the win.

"What a great game. What an effort," said Ramal Werdna, the president and CEO of FC Sudwerk. "Imagine what we could do if we could just get a full side to the game on time!"
