Sudwerk Sets Rosters
For Two Indoor Squads

  
DAVIS, Calif., Jan. 7 (AP) � FC Sudwerk will rely on a core of seasoned pros while cultivating new talent as it kicks off the indoor season on Sunday.
    
Northern California's premier soccer club will field two eight-player teams, FC Sudwerk Red and FC Sudwerk Black, for the winter 2005 edition of DARSL.
    
Red, known as the Dirty Little Secrets, will be captained by J.C. Mark and feature veterans Phil Pareas, Adam Bauer, Andrew Morin, Craig Dandurand, Amy Toy and Cathy Ross. Rookie Page Spiess rounds out Red's roster.

While Black, nicknamed the Black Bombers, will be led by Andrew LaMar and include club stalwarts J.B. Rudell, Joe Cardoza, Mel Meyer and Renae Wurschmidt Owens as well as newcomers Joe Schmidt, Jackie Bergquist and Morgan King.
     
"We have two great squads this year," said Juan Carlos, the club's president and CEO. "I'm looking forward to continuing FC Sudwerk's success indoors."
     
Last winter, both teams recorded winning records, with Red going 8-1-1 and Black finishing 6-4. 
    
The Bombers open play at noon, and the DL Secrets take the field at 3 p.m. It's the club's 14th season. ##
