| Red, Black Romp Again DAVIS, Calif., Jan. 25 (AP) -- FC Sudwerk's two indoor teams continued their strong winter play Sunday with convincing victories. FCS Black defeated Humboldt Grown B 11-5, thanks to strong defense and solid teamwork. Black's scoring included two off-the-wall, bank-shot goals by Joe Cardoza. Black's women -- Mel Meyer, Renae Wurschmidt and Cathy Ross -- also turned in fine peformances. FCS Red followed with a 9-1 rout of Oldenfowl that featured incredible goal-scoring by Phil Pareas and superb goalkeeping by Craig Dandurand. The pair, on injured reserve since late summer, have returned to the field in spectacular fashion. "This club is so much better with Phil and Craig in the lineup," said Ramal Werdna, the president and CEO of FC Sudwerk. "It's a treat to have them back in action." Week No. 4 of DARSL's indoor season has Red facing highly regarded Davis Football Club and Black taking on Short Grass. ## |
