More W's for Sudwerk

DAVIS, Calif., Jan. 23 (AP) FC Sudwerk's indoor squads improved to 6-0 on Sunday, with two more exciting victories.

The Black Bombers pasted Humboldt Grown A 7-0 in the first half and cruised to a 16-5 win. Jackie Bergquist, who showed up an hour early because of a misleading e-mail from one of your captains, led Black with 4 goals.

Five other Bombers scored as well, including another early arriver, Black's gracefully aging and surprisingly nimble goalie Andy LaMar. See what the extra stretching can do for your game?

In game 2, the red-clad Dirty Little Secrets overcame nemesis Humboldt Grown B, 8-7. Red Goalie Craig Dandurand sacrificed body and limb to shut down the sharp-shooting stoners in the clutch, including a last second shot from point blank range.

"This is what Sunday indoor goaltending is all about," Dandurand said after the game, as blood flowed from his knees and forehead.  We love you back there, Craig!  Adam Bauer was huge to start the second half and the Cathy/Page duet played tough D throughout.

Sunday game balls go to Craig and Jackie. Way to go! ##
