Rage Rolls, Bombers Blasted

DAVIS, Calif., Jan. 14, 2007 (Reuters) -- The Red Rage escaped with an 11-10 victory over Pulsars Black on Sunday while the Black Bombers fell 16-7 to Pulsars Silver on week No. 2 of DARSL's winter season.

Rage led 5-3 at the break and maintained a comfortable cushion for most of the second half, but Pulsars Black made it interesting, scoring within the last three minutes to pull within one.

Meanwhile, the Bombers suffered a slow start for the second consecutive week, getting ripped 8-1 in the opening half. Mel Meyer scored five goals as the Bombers rallied after the break, but the Black shirts could not overcome the early deficit.

Next Sunday FC Sudwerk's two indoor squads swap opponents. The Red Rage takes on Pulsars Silver at noon, and the Black Bombers face Pulsars Black at 1 p.m. ##
