Message from the Director

During the year 2002 and 2003, there were 9 varieties in 8 field crops have been released to the farmers. Also, 8 production technologies for various field crops have been developed and dissemination to farmers to increase their production and protection for the environment as well. Field Crops Research Institute are going to release another 4 varieties in 3 field crops species in the year 2004. To increase production zoning for appropriate growing area are also importance. Therefore: FCRI in co-operation with APITC try to work out for the appropriate zone for each field crop production to increase production and yield with lower cost.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the researchers of the FCRI, who work so hard to make these technologies ready to disseminate to the farmers to boot up their yield, production and finally their income.
