REACT is a non profit organization which is involved in providing emergency communications assistance during Tornados, floods, missing persons, and any other situation or disaster that might occur. Fortunately, disasters don't happen everyday. To maintain members' interest and abilities, many REACT Teams provide communications support for a variety of community events: Parades, foot races, bicycle tours, festivals, sports events, etc.
In some communities, REACT teams provide search-and-rescue services.
REACT members use many types of radio communications, including amateur ("ham"), CB, Family Radio Service (FRS), General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS), & commercial bands.
