El estado de Oaxaca, situado en el sureste de México, ha
sido cuna de importantes culturas indígenas, entre las que sobresalen la
zapteca y la mixteca. La mezcla de arte indígena con el europeo logró crear
un entorno único, en donde es possible disfrutar de una mágica arquitectura
prehispánica, bellos monumentos colonials, artesanía y una estupenda comida.
Además en la actualidad existe un importante movimiento cultural,
especialmente de pintura contemporanea. La imaginación del artesano oaxaqueño auténtico no tiene
límites al transformar diversos materials, entre ellos, el barro, el oro, la
lana, la piel, la hojalata y la Madera. Sin embargo, debido a los cambios
económicos y sociales que han ocurrido en los ultimos años, se requiere distinguir entre toda la mercancia que se ofrece en
el comercio, aquellas piezas que representan al arte milenario indígena. El estado de
Oaxaca además ofrece bellas playas y sitios de gran importancia ecológica ya
que por su geografía se desarrollaron muchas especies locales. |
