Formed in April 2001 FC Jiggleitalittleitllopen were founded after efforts by Phil and Chris Laker to set up rival teams came to a dead end due to a shortage of talented players in either camp. Phil, emerged from the ashes of the thankfully never-created FC Cookie Monster along with utility man Andy Hale. Chris brought with him nippy East Grinstead based frontman Stewart Coggin and powerful ex-Tilgate Hammer Matt Nash.

With the personnel accounted for the focus switched to a name. If a team is to be responsible for inspiring a generation of footballers then it has to have a snappy, inventive name that rolls easily off the tongue. With these criteria in mind FC Jiggleitalittleitllopen was the only possible choice.

As graffiti-artists throughout the UK began scrawling the name on only very large walls the band of five charged with bringing glory to the club set out in their debut season - The Crawley Summer Fives 2001.

Kitted out for their big opener in the blue and white stripes of Netherne FC the Jigglers confounded all expectations in a narrow 1-0 defeat by one of the competition favourites, Caledonian Old Boys. The first point was gained the next week against British Airways Reserves and the first and to date still the best goal scored by Stewart Coggin in the 2-2 draw with XL5. The first ever win arrived in sensational style as Jiggle crushed Southern Celtic 5-0 in the final match of the Autumn Fives. The side finished an excellent 7th.

In October The Jigglers, sporting new club colours of red and black mixed it with the big boys and diced with qualification in the Autumn Fives before ending in a record 5th position. The season was illuminated by a fine victory against unbeaten leaders Orange Kit-Kats. Great strides has since been made on and off the pitch, the highlights including a run to the quarter-finals at the Burgess Hill Festival in 2003. A new record win was also set on 19th March 2004 when Jiggle beat Underdogs 6-0 surpassing the Southern Celtic win of two and a half years ago. The league Finals remain elusive but 5th place has now been secured on FOUR occasions. Our time will come!

Of course, the most frequently asked question is 'so where'd you get the name?'. FC Jiggleitalittleitllopen was created by Millwall-loving Matt Nash based so rumour has it on a response by DJ Danny Baker when asked on a radio show what he would call a newly formed football club. FC Jiggleitalittleitllopen was born.
