Designing a web site can be a very difficult thing. You must keep many things in mind while make the perfect site. Your site can range from very complex to very basic and still give the same amount of useful information.
So you may ask yourself why then make a difficult site. Well the better it looks and the easier it is to attract people to it and have them read it. You must keep in mind the audience you are making the site for and the key information you are trying to send all while still designing a great site. But remember don�t put too much and lose your whole point of the page. Ha so you say it's impossible to do all that?

First thing is the actual writing on the site because in the end it�s the only thing that really matters. Use easy language, don�t use slang unless you are only writing the page for a specific audience. I like to use a word processor program such as Microsoft Works or something of that nature. Write all the information that you will putting on that site in there and be sure to spell check, on onee wannts two trie too figger ouy wut ur trrying tooo saie.
Next think about what you want the site to basically look like. Do you want tables? Do you want lots of links? Or all the information on just one page? Once you decide what you want and go to it. Graphics are always good, be sure not to get caught up in pictures and multimedia though. Some is great too much will ruin your site, find what works for you. Make sure the multimedia works with the whole theme of the page. Just because you have a really neat picture of a floating bottle, if your page is about selling Avon beauty supplies you might want to leave the bottle out.
Ok now pick out an easy to read font that goes with the theme. If you�re doing a western themed story a western font might be a nice addition along with using lots of browns and grays. If you�re doing a site on dolphins guess what, blue works well. Be sure the font is not too hard to read and the colors all work together. Choose a background you can either go to a site and grab one from there or simply use one you already have. Again be sure all the colors work.
Your site is now done. Grab someone off the street that knows nothing about what the site is on and have them read it. If they can understand exactly what were trying to say you succeeded if not then tweak it up and make it work attention to detail is very important.
