Track & Field
Track And Field is one of the most important sports because it more closely
resembles life then any other. All sports are important in teaching you teamwork
and responsibility but track takes it one step further. It touches on more of
the important educational and employable skills then any other sport. In life
you have to do the best at your own thing while making sure that it is healthy
in serving the team or business as a whole. You do your part whether it be your
report for the boss or doing your function on the assembly line you must do your
piece to the best of your ability for the company to succeed. When everyone dose
their own little portion of the whole puzzle then you will get the expected
result.
In track it is true you are doing your event on your own and no one can help you
during it, however the more help you get from your coach and team in training
the better prepared you are to succeed. You must give and take in preparation,
teach what you know and take in what others teach. You must learn your skill and
become the best you can be and share your knowledge with others on the team that
require the same skills. Track also uses many other skills that other sports
also do such as responsibility and time management. You must be responsible
enough to get yourself to all the practices and not be late and let other things
get in the way. Time management is important before you even step on the track
and even more so once you get there. Life goes on while you do sports and you
must keep up with both. School and a possible job along with practice all need
to be managed well so that you dont miss any. Then once you get to practice
you often do more then one event and must manage your time to work on all your
events so that you become the best that you can at each individually and them
all as a whole.
Track and Field is one of the most important learning experiences offered to you
and it is a great benefit to anyone who chooses to make use of it.
