Falls Church Citizens' Advisory Committee on Transportation -

A. Joint session with Interdisciplinary Transportation Team
The CACT meeting followed the first joint session with the Falls Church Interdisciplinary Transportation Team. At the Interdisciplinary Transportation Team meeting, proposals were submitted for responding to and considering resident traffic requests. Also, several South Oak Street residents were present and South Oak Street parking and calming measures were the subject of extensive discussion.

B. Review and Approval of CACT Minutes
March through July 2001 minutes were approved.

2. Discussion Items

A. Electric Bus Project
Helen said that the buses are conducting test runs at this time. She said the City was still waiting for the seven day test period, but the date for this was unknown. She stated that the buses were still experiencing some problems.

B. Development Projects
There were no new submittals since the previous meeting.

C. Progress on the Pedestrian/Walkability Plan
Sandy passed out a consolidated draft of the pedestrian survey conducted by CACT members. She asked any members who had not yet submitted their Ward scans to do so as soon as possible. She asked that they be e-mailed to her at [email protected]. She stated that she would continue to consolidate this information and bring an updated draft to the next meeting.
