2002 Pickering FBLA Motto

Welcome to the 2002-2003 Pickering High School Future Business Leaders of America website! The mission of P.H.S. FBLA is to help provide its members with the tools necessary to suceed in the business world.

Pickering High School Future Business Leaders of America is based on three simple principals: service, education, and progress. Service to our school and our community through various fundraisers and projects. Education through not only courses here at Pickering High School, but experience. Finally, progress by taking pride in everything that we do and being the best we can to better not only ourselves, but our school and community as well.

Pride has been a tradition at Pickering High School since it first opened its doors in 1923. We have always taken pride in everything that we do and are. Future Business Leaders of America is no exception. Further development of FBLA has helped promote this tradition. Each year, many students from P.H.S. make it to the State Leadership Conference, some as far as the National Conference! Through their dedication and hard work, it is our members who make this organization excel.

FBLA Creed

I believe education is the right of every person.

I believe the future depends on mutual understanding and cooperation among business, industry, labor, religious, family and educational institutions, as well as people around the world. I agree to do my utmost to bring about understanding and cooperation among all of these groups.

I believe every person should prepare for a useful occupation and carry on that occupation in a manner that brings the greatest good to the greatest number.

I believe every person should actively work toward improving social, political, community and family life.

I believe every person has the right to earn a living at a useful occupation and that this right should not be denied because of race, color, creed, sex or handicap.

I believe every person should take responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit to self, associates, school and community.

I believe I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly. I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone.
