Ministry Oppportunites
There is no obligation- these are all completely voluntary.
Greeter- our greeters welcome people before church, help distribute bulletins, and offer directions and assistance.
Worship Assistant- our worship assistants participate in worship by doing readings, announcing songs and hymns, and sometimes offering prayers (depending on what each person is comfortable with).
Special Music- if you have musical gifts that you would be willing to share as special music or during worship, then this is the ministry for you.
Fellowship Ministry- helpers with fellowship hour set out refreshments, coffee, tea and punch for after the worship service.
Visitation Ministry-persons expressing an interest in making home visits are invited to speak to the pastor or a deacon.
Encouragement Ministry- the encouragement ministry involves writing and sending cards and notes of encouragement, and/or phone calls to members and friends of the church who are struggling with illness, loss, or are shut-in.
Nursery- if you have experience in caring for children and desire to help out with our nursery- we would be glad to have you on our nursery care team. Please speak with Janet Slater.
Prayer Ministry- Each Sunday we gather for a time of prayer at 9:45 a.m. before Sunday school- all are welcome! We also list prayer requests and praises in our bulletin, that we would be glad to have you pray for throughout the week.
Other Opportunities- We are involved with many community service projects, including the Northlight Community Center, the FISH program (Friends in Supplying Help- a food cupboard program), soup-making, and other efforts.
