Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound operation of
plant equipment
Understand and execute the equipment clearance procedure with Red tag
Properly operate control room, steam turbine, plant auxiliary equipment and
system Startups/Shutdown, normal and emergency operation.
Assist other in performance testing.
Assist in on-the-job training of other operators.
Assist Troubleshoot plant equipment to resolve operational problems
Generate and review work notification for execution of equipment repair.
Monitor and record data available through the use of various instruments,
recording charts, annuciator system & other monitoring devices onto shift logs
as directed by plant operational procedures.
Assist in providing skill enhancement training to other personnel.
Implement plant Emergency Procedures as needed.
Operate electric generating units to control flow and processing of
electrical energy.
Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and guage
readings.
Apply knowledge of steam power plant operations and basic power plant
principles to daily decision work tasks.
Assist maintenance personnel in performance of maintenance activities to
include use of tools, equipments & company vehicles.
Keep Cool brain in emergency decision making.
