Barnacle, on the other hand, was very anxious to see the other Magic Star, partly to compare her to his Magic Star, and partly because he found the idea of meeting someone in a chat room hilarious and wondered what in the world Tex had hooked for himself.

He could not have been more surprised by the lovely pony who stepped on board the S.S. Moondreamer -- a bright orange earth pony with silky ringlets of lavender hair that bounced when she walked.  Around her neck was a star sapphire pendant, gleaming in the midday sun.  She smiled a cheerful smile and, as Barnacle was helping her with her luggage, he noticed her symbol -- a magic wand, like his Magic Star's.  When he returned to the engine room, he called Tex's cell phone to convey his approval.

To his surprise and dismay, Tex didn't want him to tell what she looked like!  He, for some strange reason, wanted to see her "for the first time" with his "own eyes."  Barnacle shrugged and hung up the phone.  Poor Barnacle!  Having always been able to see his own Magic Star, he couldn't possibly understand!
