Another nice view.
Bishop Castle. Wow. What a place. If you ever get a chance to see it, TAKE THE CHANCE! Pictures don't do it justice. The place was just incredible. But you are scared of heights, you won't be able to see the half of it!
More castle. I couldn't get the whole thing in on pic, it was so big.
Close-up of the dragon head on the top of the chapel.
Eeck! Looking WAY up at the dragon.
Another view.
Yet another view.
And look! Another view. I could have taken a lot more pics, but I ran out of film.
View from inside the chapel. See the wizard?
I let him take the last pic, so, of course, he took it of me! Dang it! And, oh yeah, it's a LOOOOOONG way down. Really long. Why am I wearing fatigues? Because they are comfortable, and don't show dirt. Ok? I'm not... that much... of a freak... really... I'm not.
Cottonwood Pass was next. Really neat. It's paved on the eastern side, dirt on the western. It also happens to rest on the continental divide. Pretty neat.
View from the top of Cottonwood Pass.
Another view from the top of Cottonwood Pass.
Another view from the top of Cottonwood Pass. It rained a lot in Colorado while we were there.
You guessed it. From the top of Cottonwood Pass again, showing the low clouds.
Western side of Cottonwood, the next day, near the bottom, going up. It was nice to see it with some light.
A really cool view of the lower part of the dam of Taylor Park Reservoir, just west of Cottonwood Pass.
Camping area, last real day of the trip (Lottis Creek). I wish I had taken some pictures of the place we hiked up to the next morning, Herny Lake, but I didn't think to bring my camera. Oh well. Another time. (We stayed the last night just outside Palo Duro, but we drove until 3am, slowed down due to powerful storms from Colo Springs all the way to Amarillo. A 5 hour trip became a nearly ten hour trip. It was... exciting.)
Same as above, facing 90 degrees to the right of the above.
