Welcome back to FAWN Week in Review, fans. As always, Im Casey Maxwell, and we now return to our in-depth look at FAWNs newest tag team, East/West.

Having established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in their maiden match against Juliet Bloodwind and Leila the Jungle Cat, Kimiko Yamashida and Kim West found themselves slated to face another new tag team although this duo, like East/West, were no strangers to the ring. The Bartuzzinni sisters, Giovanna and Santina, were just as accomplished and ambitious and not to mention ruthless as East/West. Both teams knew that the one which emerged the winner from this battle would be on the fast track to a title shot, and neither team held back anything!

Lets take a look at the highlights from their match.

The screen shifts to footage of a match, as Kim West leaps in the air and wraps her legs around Santina Bartuzzinni with a jumping head scissors, bringing the Italian down to the mat. As Kim tightens her vice around the struggling Santina, she is close enough to the corner to reach out and slap hands with Kimiko, who instantly leaps through the ropes and, as West releases her scissors, grabs Bartuzzinni by the ankles and drags her to the center of the ring. Yamashida then twists her opponent into a scorpion deathlock, Santinas fists pounding into the mat as the pain tears up her spine. Luckily for her, Giovanna then enters the ring and nearly decapitates Kimiko with a clothesline, breaking the deathlock.

The scene blurs, and we are then several minutes later in the match. Kim is dazed on the canvas, grabbing at the ropes trying to haul herself up. Kimiko is trapped in a full nelson by Santina, and Giovanna is launching punches to the Japanese battlers jaw and abdomen. Santina finally releases her hold, Yamashida stumbles forward several steps, and then falls flat on her face. The scene fades.

The doubleteaming continues, but now it is East/West in control. Kim and Kimiko each hold a Bartuzzinni sister around the waist from behind, Giovanna and Santina facing one another with no more than five feet of distance between them, then hoist them up into the air, only to bring them down in simultaneous atomic drops. The cruel impacts launch the sisters off of the outstretched knees of their opponents, and they slam into one another, then drop to the mat like rag dolls.

Another scene change, and the viewer is greeted with total anarchy. The bell tolls incessantly, signaling the end of the match in a double disqualification. But failing to heed it are the wrestlers. At ringside, Santina has in her hands a folding steel chair, and she brings it down again and again across the head of Kim, who is crumpled on the arena floor against the ring barrier, her forehead busted open and her face a crimson mask. Meanwhile, Giovanna and Kimiko have taken their battle up into the spectators stands. Yamashida has placed a stunned Bartuzzinni across a concession table in the rear of the arena, then dashed up the stairs to the upper level. Perched on the edge of the balcony twenty feet above her prey, she suddenly flings herself into the air in a suicide splash, and comes crashing down atop Giovanna! The impact shatters the table to splinters, and leaves both women unconscious.

Then, Casey Maxwells image returns to the screen. A riotous end to one of the most violent matches in recent FAWN history but most certainly not the end of this rivalry. When three of the four participants have to be taken away to the infirmary on stretchers, you just know that theres some bad blood that wont take no for an answer when the time comes for a rematch.

And while not winning their second match was a small bump on the road to a title match, the sheer ferocity of this brawl has only served to enhance the reputation of East/West as two women you wouldnt want to bet against in any match! Fans are already getting excited speculating on a fight between Yamashida and West against the Dennehy sisters, with the FAWN tag straps on the line. But only time will tell if East/West stays focused enough to get the shot at the gold. This reporter believes they will.

For all of us here at FAWN Week in Review, Im Casey Maxwell, and well see you all next week same FAWN time, same FAWN channel!
