These facts and clues were the answers to questions that J.K Rowling had been asked during interviews... meaning that all the facts are true and have been cleared by JK. The "other" section is strictly opinion and prediction.
Facts:
Lily Potter's maiden name was Evans, and she was in Gryffindor.
Harry's middle name is James.
Dumbledore
is a hundred and fifty, and Professor McGonagall is a sprightly seventy.
Wizards have a much longer life expect-
ancy than
Muggles. (Harry hasn't found out about that yet.)
James Potter was Chaser on the Griffindor Quidditch team.
Hermione's birthday is September 19th.
Harry's is July 31st.
Ron's is March 1st.
James Potter inherited his Invisibility Cloak from his own father -- a family heirloom!
Book 5 probably won't be as long as book four. It will be scary. Harry finds out a lot of things he hasn't stumbled across so far.
The title of book 5 is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Remus, Sirius, Pettigrew, Aragog, and Mr. Weasley's car will make a return in future books.
There will be a female Defense Against Dark Arts teacher.
**Yes, something's "going on" [between Ron and Hermione] but Ron doesn't realize it yet. Typical boy. **
"Never tickle a sleeping dragon or Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" is the Hogwarts Motto

Clues:
Q: Is there something more to the cats appearing in the books than first meets the eye? (i.e. Mrs. Figg's cats, Crookshanks, Prof. McGonagall as a cat, etc.)
A: Ooooo, another good question. Let's see what I can tell you without giving anything away....erm....no, can't do it, sorry.
Q: Is the Mrs. Figg with all the cats in the Dursleys' neighborhood the same Arabella Figg that Dumbledore mentioned at the end of book 4?
A: Well spotted! (Note: This is a sure sign that she is a witch.)
Q: There is a girl named Susan Bones who was sorted in the first book, and there was a family called the Bones that Voldemort tried to destroy. Is this a coincidence, or will Harry meet her in future books?
A: Susan
Bones's grandparents were killed by Voldemort!
Other:
Upon visiting a certain website, I saw an interesting concept... that Harry may be the Heir of Griffindor. The list said that
A) Harry is
in Griffindor (well duh)
B) His parents
lived in Godric's Hollow *
C) He pulled
Godric Griffindor's sword out of the Sorting hat. (How many Hogwarts students
could do that?!)
D) When he
was trying out wands at Ollivander's, his wand shot out red and gold sparks...
Griffindor colors!
* I have never
seen this in the book, so I am not sure that it is true.. I will be doing
research to find out for sure!
UPDATE:
Page 12 Chapter One of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!
(Thanks, Godric's
Hollow!)
Also, There
is a lot of controversy going on about whether or not Dumbledore is evil
or not. At the end of the fourth book, Harry was telling the story about
how Voldermort had risen again. When he got to the part about Voldermort
touching him, (which he had previously not been albe to do) Siurius
looked shocked, but it said Harry thought he saw alook of triumph in Dumbledore's
eyes. Why would this be a good thing? But surely if he were evil, would
he just let Barty Crouch JR. (imposter Moody) finish Harry off like he
was about to only minutes before?
Some think
that Harry may be related to Voldermort, though I think this is ridiculus...
apparently J.K. did too because when she was asked in an interview she
laughed, also Leaky Cauldron stated (wittly i might add) that "this is
not Star Wars peolpe!".
Hmmmm...... I found out a liitle snippet about Mundungus Fletcher. At the end of book four, Sirus's task had been to find him and Arabella Figg. I didn't think too much about it until I reread book two. I found another mention of him! It's not a big deal, but it might be someday....
OK, book two:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone...
Fred, George
and Ron have just rescued Harry from the Dursley's where he has been locked
up (Yet again.) Mr. Weasley just walked in the door. He is talking about
his day at work (Ministry of Magic: Misuse of Muggle Artifacts) in the
following exert.
** "Nine raids. Nine! And old Mundungus Fletcher tried to put a hex on me when I had my back turned..." **
This exert is from book four: Harry Potter and the Goblet or Fire. Dumbledore is interrupting a fight between Sirius and Snape.
** "Now I have work for each of you. Fudge's attitude, though not unexpected changes everything. Sirius, I need you to set off at once. You are to alert Remus Lupin, Arabella Figg, and Mundungus Fletcher, the old crew. Lie low at Lupin's for awile; I will contact you there." **
Humph. Why would a friend of Dumbledore or Lupin try to hex a Ministry of Magic employee? It doesn't add up.
UPDATE: I have
found another mention of Mundungus Fletcher in book four!
Percy is explaining
why people keep sending Howlers to the Ministry after the Quidditch World
Cup.
** "Complaining about security at the World Cup," said Percy. "They want compension for their ruined property. Mundungus Fletcher's put in for a twelve bedroom tent with en-suite Jacuzzi, but I've got his number. I know for a fact that he was sleeping under a cloak propped on sticks." **
My conclusion
is that he is like a prankster. He's trying to get away with everything
he can. I have a feeling that we will be hearing a lot more about Arabella
Figg and Mundungus Fletcher in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
ARABELLA FIGG (so far)
I obtained these rumors about her from aniephalcon! (thanx!!)
Arrabella Figg
is a witch
She is a cat
animagus-turns into crookshanks (?) Oooh, I kinda doubt this but I LIKE
it!!!
She is Harry's
secret keeper. I dunno about this one. I think its on the right track,
though...
Godrics Hollow says something about Arabella meaning erm, something about protector? I'll have to check it out to make sure.
(MORE Arabella
Figg coming soon!)
CATS!

List of all cats mentioned in books 1-4!!
The first few clues about the connection between cats and withches/wizards are mentioned in book one.
Professor McGonagall is a
cat animagus. First it says how Mr. Dursley is surprised by a map-reading
tabby cat on the corner. Later, it says the cat disappears and in it's
place is a woman. She is later identified as Prof. McGonagall.
Mrs. Arabella Figg
(an unconfirmed witch) annoys Harry with her numerous cats named Tibbles,
Snowy, Mr. Paws, and Tufty.
Ah, Mrs. Norris.... A skeletal
grey pesky pet of Argus Filch, Hogwarts Caretaker, and widely known squib.
Mrs. Norris is probably the most widely-known cat, besides Crookshanks,
that is. Check out Godric's
Hollow's shrine to this infamous kitty.
This clue is just a random supporting fact
This is not in the books,
but J.K. said she hated cats. Hmmmm.
The next few clues are found in book two: Harry Potteer and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Umm, no NEW cats, but Mrs.
Norris played a big role. She got petrified by Tom Riddle's basilisk.
Cats in book 3:
CROOKSHANKS! Yea! her first
apperance is on page 60! She plays a big role and I mentioned all throughout
the book!
Book 4:
Erm, there are two almost
un-noteworthy cat mentionings in the begining. The first one said ther
was nothing moving outside "not even a cat" The second sais the tent had
a strong smell of cats.. Coincidence? Maybe....
