How long will I hide my face from You?
How long will I take counsel in my soul
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will mine enemy be exalted over me?
Consider and hear me, O Lord my God
Enlighten my eyes
Lest I sleep the sleep of spiritual death
Lest mine enemies say, "I have prevailed against him"
Lest those who trouble me rejoice
When I am too apathetic to be moved.
But teach me to trust in Your mercy
My heart to rejoice in Your salvation
Then I will sing to the Lord
For He has dealt bountifully with me.
