JANNAT -UL- MOALLA (Makkah's Grave Yard)
1 . More or less six thousand companions of Prophet Muhammad sallallaho
allihiwasalam have been buried in the holy grave yard of Makkah in which the
grave of "Ummul Moumeneen Syeda Khateeja (R.A)" is the most important . She (R.A)
was not only the first wife of Prophet (S. A. W.) but the first lady who
embraced Islam.
2 . It is the second holiest grave yard of the world followed by holy cemetery
of Madina-tul-munawarrah--JANNAT-UL-BAQQI--. Presently a road or fly over is
dividing this grave yard in to two parts. Entering in from main gate you find
yourself in new portion of the cemetery where the general Muslims have been
buried. Crossing new part of the cemetery a small under ground way leads to
older part of the holy cemetery. This sub way is built under the dividing fly
over road. Here in older part a number of companions of Prophet Muhammad
sallalla ho allihi wasalam are lying to rest in which the grave of Syeda
Khateeja (R.A) is the most important one. It is situated slightly at height and
is covered by an iron grill. The grave of a the beloved son of Prophet
sallallaho allihi wasalam ,Syedna Qasim (R.A) is also here. Many more companions
are also lying here to rest.
3 . If you come out from masjid-ul-haram through Marwa Gate, which is situated,
where the last and seventh round of Saie ends, You will find a market at your
left where some shops of hair dressers are situated. When you enter in the wide
street of this market named Souq-ul-Lail (in Arabic souq means market and lail
means night). This street is covered by the squared plastic shade. Both the
sides of this street have mostly gold shops. In local language this street is
called CHAPTER MARKET( market of sheds). As soon as this street ends, you will
find a mosque. Do not turn anywhere and go straight. Now there is a road. Keep
walking on foot path. Now you will find a crossing and traffic signal. Do not
turn anywhere walk straight and cross the road. Now the wall of Jannat-ul-Moalla
will be at your left. Then a main gate will come. It is the main entrance of
this Holy Graveyard.
4. According to a school of thoughts, on the day of judgment, 70,000
people will be relieved and spared from this holy graveyard and they will be
allowed to enter in heaven without any process of accountability.
Important graves in Jannat-e-Moalla are:
- Syeda Khateeja
- Syed Qasim (son)
- Abdullah bin Zubair
- Asma bint Abu Bakar
- Fazeel bin Abbas
- Abdur-Rehman bin Abu Bakar.
This cemetery also known as Al-Hajun. The Prophet (PBUH) used to visit it
frequently. It is the 2nd holiest graveyard after Baqi. Those buried here

SHOAB ABI-TALIB (VALLEY OF ABI-TALIB)
1. Mount qubais is the most important and spiritual mount of holy city of
MAKKAH. It is said that it was the first mount created by Almighty ALLAH on the
earth. In the bottom of the mount qubais there are many well known valleys but
the valley of Abi-Talib is the most important and historic. In arabic "VALLEY"
means "SHOAB".
2. The velly of Abi-talib is very near to masjid-ul-haram. If we come out from
Masjid-ul-haram through Bab-ul-marwa----the gate where the saie ends----,we find
ourselves near to a famous bazaar named "SAOUQ-UL-LAIL" (in colloquial language
it is called "CHAPRA BAZAR"---MARKET OF SHED-) This valley is between this bazar
and masjid-ul-haram. This is situated very near to the holy birth place of
prophet syedna Muhammad sallall ho Allihi wasalam and in fact it was the actual
muhalla (vicinity) of holy prophet Muhammad sallalla ho Allihiwasalam.
3. After modern construction of masjid-ul-haram and its' surroundings ,this
valley has been leveled and now no one can realize that there had ever been a
valley . White shining overhead marbled floor has changed its' look.
4. No doubt modern construction has changed its look but its' painful history
can never be changed which made this velly memorable. This is the valley where
our beloved prophet syedna Muhammad sallalla ho allihi waslam passed very
difficult 1321 days of siege with their ever devoted companions.
5. It was the time when all the anti Muslim communities had agreed upon a one
point agenda to boycott all Muslims in Makkah socially andpolitically.Through
this one point agenda they wanted to (Almighty Allah forbidden me) to shaheed
beloved Prophet Muhammad sallalla-ho-Allihi wasalam. All the anti Muslim tribes
in holy Makkah signed an accord to terminate all political, social, economic
relations with Prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihiwasalam and other Muslims.
6. In such circumstance the prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihi wasalam decided
to take shelter in SHOAB-ABI-TALIB. It was very difficult period. nothing was
enough to eat and drink for Muslims. How was the period was difficult? it may be
realized to with the fact when the companions feel some thing soft in the dark ,
they started to chew them because of intense hunger. From 30th April 615 to 11th
December 618, the beloved Prophet and his companions spent the most difficult
and painful period of their life in SHOAB Abi-Talib.
7. Because of patience and courage the holy prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihi
wasalam and the companion won this battle of siege.
