| Film of a theatrical production by international drama group Die Fremden. "Das Tonnenkind" (The Rubbish-Bin Child) is the story of a young woman, who on her 20th birthday, supported by an eccentric older woman, goes in search of her identity. What she doesn't know about her origins she fabricates from her imagination, creating a mother figure whose life as an immigrant is characterized by exploitation and solitude. The group experiments with different time and imaginary levels, the effects of alienation, and different languages. It's a search for home, with many different aspects.
