Baltimore is a hellhole. It contains
more poverty and AIDS than anywhere else in the United States; it contains the
largest Urban Renewal movement and highest sexually transmitted disease rate in
the United States. It also contain some
places of culture and learning, including the primarily Jewish neighborhood of
Pikesville. The area is the perfect
illustration of the dichotomy that is Baltimore.
The
Loft
The
Loft has been a punk hang out for a long time, and is considered Brujah territory. On Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, the
Loft frequently houses scores of punks and rabble, generally armed. Many a rant has been held there, with the
mortals in the vicinity unknowingly taking part and the Brujah bellowing about
whatever comes to mind. Officially, the
Loft falls under Gutter's domain, but with the death of Geoffrey Carroll, the
clan as whole crash there and count it as their primary gathering place. The Baltimore City Police Department refuse
to enter the building, and it is a sanctuary for any Kindred who need to hide
(as long as they can actually survive the Loft itself).
Lyric
Opera House
Home to
bachelor cotillions and symphony orchestras, the Lyric is one of Baltimore's
artistic and social centers, and is owned by Morgan Stadtler, Toreador Primogen
of the city. She holds a great many
gala parties there, utilizing the main room's ability to either consist of
stadium seating or a large open floor.
It is often used when a large number of vampires are getting together for
some sort of festivity, and has been placed on permanent Elysium status by the
Prince.
Sandtown
Winchester
Sandtown
Winchester is the most poverty and crime ridden area in all of Baltimore, with
a nearly 98% unemployment rate and rampant drug trafficking. It is there that the Setites have the most
power and influence, carefully corrupting the streets. The Baltimore City Police will not enter the
area, and the Camarilla Kindred avoid it like the plague. It is completely overrun by the Followers of
Set, and there temple is rumored to be somewhere in the area. It is one of the sanctioned feeding areas of
Baltimore, and hunting is only difficulty 4 in Sandtown Winchester - but watch
your back.
