Links

The following are a series of web sites that I found very useful in the construction of this site.  Some are roleplaying sites; some are sites about Baltimore specifically.  Whatever the case, each site is listed with a description of its contents following that site's name and hyperlink.

Baltimore City's Neighborhoods: This website goes into detail about the personality and history of each of Baltimore's major neighborhoods.  This is an immensely useful geographic site, and can be quite interesting, especially for someone not entirely familiar with Baltimore's geography.

The Census Bureau Homepage: The home of the United States Census, this site was quite useful when I was working on Baltimore by night.  It helped to determine the ethnic diversity in Baltimore and it was an irreplaceable aid in determining the correct Kindred population of a given city.

Digital City Baltimore: Digital City is an excellent site that goes into detail about major landmarks in almost any major city you can think of.  Its Baltimore site, like the rest of its sites, is a tremendous resources, listing nearly every club, bar, theater, restaurant and any other point of interest in the whole of the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.

Kabalarian Names: This site lists over 525,000 names, all defined and researched and organized alphabetically and by ethnicity.  This was another invaluable resource in creating the Kindred and other inhabitants of Baltimore by Night.

Random Name Generator: A program that I used repeatedly and one that no Storyteller or Game Master should be without, the Random Name Generator is just that.  It comes up with both familiar name and surnames, sorted by how frequently they are encountered.

Skyscrapers.com Baltimore: This website is an invaluable resource listing the tallest buildings in Baltimore (and other cities) and offering excellent photographs of those buildings, as well as all-inclusive information about the skyscrapers.  Several of the pictures from this site are used on the Baltimore: By Night webpage.

White Wolf Online: This is White Wolf's official website, the granddaddy of them all.  If you haven't been here, you owe it to yourself to go.  Now.

World of Darkness: Baltimore: This website was the first 'official' White Wolf Baltimore site.  It was designed by Mike Sims, and is very well done and quite useful in developing my own version of Baltimore by Night.  Although our visions do not necessarily agree, I have to give him credit: without the creation of his site, my game never would have taken place.  (Note: Todd doesn't want you to see this.)
