To be independent is the business of a few only; it is the privilege of the strong.

Friedrich Nietzsche

The once-proud Gangrel clan of Baltimore has fallen to levels of near non-existence.  Several clan members have courageously fallen in battle - Diana Gibbons, for instance, or Quentin Mullough, and one has seemingly turned tell and run northeast to Wilmington.  This leaves only Lazarus to represent the Outlanders.

Lazarus

The only remaining Gangrel in Baltimore, Lazarus is in the unenviable position of attempting to not only represent himself and further his own agenda, but attempting to stand for his clan in Baltimore as well.  He is ostensibly the Scourge, although the job he fulfills does not quite fit the description of the position.  Rumors are abound that the Prince truly wants Lazarus to become Sheriff, as was his mentor before him, but it is yet to be seen whether the Prince is hell-bent on this or whether it is simply gossip.

Gangrel Holdings

Due to the meager representation by the Gangrel clan, the Outlanders have very little control in Baltimore.  Lazarus at one point controlled the so-called Anubi; however, the Anubi have since been crushed to near destruction in the campaign against the Sabbat in Northern and Eastern Maryland and Delaware.  The south Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn is the only remaining Gangrel territory; it was once the domain of Quentin Mullough, and it remains to be seen whether anyone else wants it.
